How we handle the information you share with us, in plain English. Effective October 14, 2026.
Who we are
TERRANA GROUP LLC is a financial services recruiting and consulting firm at 118 North Clinton Street, Suite 375, Chicago, IL 60661. This policy covers terranagroup.com and the information handled through it. Confidentiality is the foundation of our business, and that extends to how we treat your data.
What we collect
Information you send us. When you use the contact form, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, your message, and whether you are reaching out as an advisor, a firm, or a candidate. When you complete the Advisor Assessment and ask for your report, we receive your answers along with the name, email, and phone number you provide. If you email us or send a resume, we receive what you choose to include. If you pass along someone else’s contact information, a referral or a colleague, please make sure they are comfortable with that first.
Technical logs. Our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and site operations. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site. Because we do not track you, a browser’s Do Not Track signal changes nothing here: there is nothing to opt out of.
On your device. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your own browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Fonts. Our typefaces are served from this website, so loading a page sends no request to Google or any other font service.
How we use it
We use the information you share to respond to you, to provide our recruiting, transition, succession, and M&A consulting services, to make the introductions you ask us to make, to send you the assessment report you requested, to keep the site secure, and to meet our legal obligations. If you have talked to us about opportunities, we may follow up with you about ones that fit; tell us to stop and we will. We do not sell or rent personal information. Ever.
Confidentiality
Every conversation with us is confidential. We do not disclose your identity to a hiring firm, or to your current firm, without your agreement.
When we share
We share information only with the service providers that host this site and deliver our email, with the firms you ask us to introduce you to, and when the law requires it. Service providers handle data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. Our website is served through a global content delivery network, so pages reach you from a location near you; the information you submit is processed in the United States, at our Chicago office and by the providers that handle our hosting and email.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while we are working together and as long as the law requires. If you would like something removed, ask us and we will delete whatever we are not legally required to keep.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, ask for a copy of it, ask us to delete it, or limit what we do with it, and you can withdraw any consent you have given. Requests are free, and we answer within a month. If you live somewhere with a data protection authority, you also have the right to raise a concern with it. For any of these, or simply to stop hearing from us, email connect@terranagroup.com. We reply to every request.
Other websites
Links on this site, including our social media profiles, lead to websites with their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover them.
Children
This site is for financial services professionals and the firms that hire them. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. This version replaces our previous policy, last updated March 18, 2021.
